Cancellation Policy – Introduction

We understand that plans can sometimes change due to unexpected circumstances. This cancellation policy outlines the terms and conditions regarding changes or cancellations to your booking. It is designed to ensure clarity and fairness for all parties involved, including our guests, horse riding schools, English language schools, host families, and service providers.

Please read the policy carefully before confirming your reservation. By proceeding with your booking, you acknowledge and accept the terms detailed below.

Airlinguee horse riding cancellation policy:

Horseback riding camps, equestrian show jumping, cross country, horseback riding hacks, dressage, natural horsemanship, trail riding, multi-activity and surfing summer camps.  

We strongly advise all participants to obtain a personal travel insurance policy to cover any unforeseen cancellations, flights, loss or delay of personal luggage or belongings, COVID-related issues, accidents, and illnesses during their equestrian stays and holidays in Ireland.

No refunds can be issued once the participant has started the equestrian staycation, horseback riding camp, or horse riding holiday.

Junior English Horse Riding Camps Cancellations and Refunds:

Programme 1: Junior Equestrian Camp Ireland: You can request a full refund, less bank charges and the administrative booking fee.

Please note that administrative, booking fees, deposits and course fees for the following Teenage Equestrian Camps in Ireland are non-refundable. 

  • Programme 2: Horseback Riding and English Camp in Ireland.
  • Programme 2.1: Summer Horse Riding Camp Ireland.
  • Programme 2.2: Specialised in Show Jumping & Competitions.
  • Programme 4.1: Levelled Horse Riding and English Camp Ireland.
  • Programme 4.2: Show Jumping and English.
  • Programme 4.3: Intensive Show Jumping and English.
  • Program 6: Intensive Equestrian Camp in Ireland.
  • Programme 7: Dressage Camp in Ireland.
  • Programme 7.1: Show Jumping and Cross-country.

 

Programmes 5 Junior or Adult English Courses:

  • Programme 5: English and Equestrian Horse Riding Camp.
  • Programme 5.1: English and Multi-Activity Summer Camp.
  • Programme 5.2: English and Surfing Camp.
  • Programme 5.4 Adult or Family-English Language Courses: English & Horse Riding, Surfing, Wellness.

 

Programmes 5 Adult Course Cancellation Policy: 
 
  1. Cancellations are accepted up to 28 days before the course start date. A full refund of fees, less an administration and booking fee, will be made.
  2. If a student or participant cancels less than 28 days before the course start date, the English Language School will provide a voucher valid for 2 years from the course start date or a 50% refund, less the administration fee and booking fee. The administration and booking fee are non-refundable after 28 days before the start of the course.
  3. Groups or students who cancel within 7 days of the start date of their booked course will not receive a refund.
  4. Groups or students who do not complete a programme that has already started because they are leaving early will not be entitled to a refund.
  5. Once the course has started, changes to other courses will only be accepted if they are requested before the Tuesday of the previous week, and if places are still available.
 
 

Airlinguee’s Horse Riding/Language Camp/Course Cancellation Policy: Adults-Families-Juniors

Airlinguee’s cancellation policy for Adult Horseback Riding Programmes in Flatwork, Show Jumping, Horseback Riding, Cross-Country, Dressage, Natural Horsemanship and Trail Riding:

No refunds can be made for the following Adult Horseback Riding Holidays in Ireland. 

  • Programme 2.2: Specialised Competitive Show Jumping Course
  • Programme 9: Adult Equestrian Horse Riding Ireland
  • Programme 10: Equestrian Horse Riding Hacks Ireland Cancellations may be accepted up to 24 hours before the first day of arrival. Any cancellations thereafter will incur the first night being charged. The 50% deposit made with the reservation is non-refundable.
  • Programme 11: Equestrian Tourism in Ireland.  This policy applies to individual bookings of fewer than 8 persons. A booking for any accommodation requires a 50% deposit at the time of booking. To cancel accommodation, you can cancel the booking directly in writing.

    Cancellation fees apply as follows: cancellation more than 7 days before arrival= 20% cancellation fee if moving to another date, no fee applies. Cancellation within 7 days of arrival = 50% (lost deposit).

    The cancellation fee depends on the date the cancellation request is received. This cancellation policy applies to accommodation only. If you have booked an add-on activity (for example, horse riding), any non-refundable deposits you may have paid for such activities will be held if you cancel within 48 hours, as add-on activities have a separate deposit and cancellation policy. 

  • Programme 12: Horse Trekking and Trail Riding: Non-refundable registration fee or deposit. If you cancel 30–41 days before, you receive 30% refund of the total amount. Any cancellations Less than 30 days beforeno refund
  • Programme 13: Cross-Country-Hackers Delight. The full balance is due 56 days before the start date. Refunds can only be issued on the following basis:  Cancellation 42 days or more before the start date: 50% refund. Cancellation 30 days or more before the start date: 30% refund. Cancellation less than 30 days before the start date: no refund. 

 

  • HOST FAMILIES’ EQUINE STUDIES FURTHER EDUCATIONAL COURSES: 

 

Cancellation Policy for Host Family Accommodation  Equine Studies Course Ireland

We understand that travel plans can change unexpectedly. To ensure fairness to both our host families and our guests, the following cancellation policy applies to all bookings:

1. Cancellation by the Guest:

  • More than 30 days before arrival:
    Full refund of accommodation fees (excluding any non-refundable administration or booking fees).
  • 15 to 30 days before arrival:
    50% refund of accommodation fees.
  • 8 to 14 days before arrival:
    25% refund of accommodation fees.
  • 7 days or less before arrival / No-show:
    No refund of accommodation fees.
 

2. Early Departure After Arrival

If a guest decides to leave before the scheduled departure date, no refund will be issued for the unused portion of the stay, except in cases of extenuating circumstances (at the discretion of the accommodation coordinator).

3. Cancellation by the Organiser or Host Family

 

In the rare event that a host family becomes unavailable after a booking has been confirmed, we will do our utmost to provide a suitable alternative. If no alternative is acceptable, a full refund of accommodation fees will be provided.

4. Special Circumstances

 

We strongly recommend that all guests obtain travel insurance that covers accommodation cancellation due to illness, flight disruption, or other unforeseen events.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in respecting these terms, which are in place to protect both our guests and our host families.

 

Cancellation Policy for an Academic School Year or Further Education Year Before Course Commencement

  • Non-refundable registration fee or deposit. This confirms your place and is not refunded under any circumstances.
  • More than 6 weeks before the start date
    You can often get a partial refund, minus the registration fee and an administration charge 
  • 2–4 weeks before start
    Many schools retain 25–50% of the tuition fee.
  • Less than 2 weeks before the start
    Refunds are rare. Often, no refund unless there are exceptional circumstances (with documentation).
 

 After the academic school year or Further Education Year Has Started:

  • No refund of tuition for withdrawal, unless in exceptional situations (e.g., serious illness, with a medical certificate).
  • Some institutions may offer a credit note or partial refund if you withdraw within the first 1–2 weeks.
