Leveled Horse Riding and English Camp Ireland for Young Riders

The Leveled Horse Riding and English Camp Ireland is aimed at Riders who wish to perfect their horse riding disciplines in an Equestrian centre run by an Olympic Medalist! You will learn first-hand from professional instruction from an international show jumping competitions expert.

Leveled Horse Riding and English Camp Ireland Program:

  • Onsite Equestrian Accommodation .

  • Ages from 10 to 19 years old.
  • 3 tiered horse-riding leveled courses.
  • 3 hours of English classes daily.

Leveled Horse Riding and English Camp Ireland:

*Only students who are Experienced Horse Riders will be accepted on these programs.

The Irish Equestrian and English language course offers three tiered horse riding programs, which focus on perfecting the horse riders personal show jumping skills and competences in the saddle.

 

These programs are:

  1. Horse Riding and English for the experienced beginner to Intermediate rider.
  2. Equestrian Show Jumping and English for Intermediate riders.
  3. Intensive Horse Riding, Show Jumping and English for Competent Horse Riders (advanced riders).

The Equestrian and English language program for Beginner riders is designed for students who would like to learn and improve their horse riding skills in flatwork disciplines and have an enjoyable experience with horses. Both Show Jumping programs focus on the more competitive rider who wants to perfect their show jumping disciplines, where an intermediate to advanced level of show jumping experience is required. The equestrian centre is approved by “The Irish Horse Riding Establishments”.

Leveled Horse Riding and English Camp English classes:

  • (ACELS) Approved Centre – “The Quality Assurance Body for English Language Teaching (ELT) in Ireland”.
  • Certified English Teachers “The Quality Assurance Body for English Language Teaching (ELT) in Ireland”.
  • 3 hours of English classes daily.
  • Level testing on first day of course.
  • English classes according to levels.
  • Monday to Friday..
  • Between 10 and 15 students per class.
  • Average of 12 students per class.
  • English classes focused on:

Leveled Horse Riding and English Camp Ireland:

The Equestrian Centre is approved by The Irish Riding Association (A.I.R.E). The owner is an Olympic medalist with an immense passion for teaching Showing Jumping and has been teaching international show jumpers for over 30 years. The riding school holds over 100 hectares of stunning natural landscapes and views of the mountains and forests adjacent to the beaches.

 

There are two outdoor arenas, one indoor and several cross-country courses to avail of. In turn, 70 highly experienced horses and Ponies (Irish Sport Horse and Connemara ponies) are ideal for show jumping, cross-country and horseback riding in the nearby forests and Atlantic beaches.

  • MONDAY TO SUNDAY:

  • 18.00: Dinner (main meal) and free time.

  • Sunday and Monday evenings: WEEKLY DOWNTIME: Time to settle in, relax and connect with other international riders.
  • 22.30-11.00: Bedtime.
  • Sunday: Arrivals & Departures. Show Jumping Competition day! (Stays of two-weeks or more only).
  • Activities, Tuesday to Saturday: On five evenings of the week, horse riders will take part in supervised group activities. Including: beach & surfing.: Tues. & Thurs.), cinema, disco, barbecue.
  • Saturday: 10am breakfast. Group excursion to local village: 12.00-17.00, lunch out in village, followed by Barbecue in the evening in riding school.
  • Recommended daily chats with children: 5 pm/9 pm (Irish time).
  • In general, the day of the laundry service is usually Wednesday.
  • Please consult the team or the timetables on the information boards at the riding school when you arrive.
  • Please note that there may be small changes to the timetable. Beach horse rides and hacks are subject to the weather and tides.

Extras not included in Leveled Horse Riding and English Camp Ireland:

The Leveled Horse Riding and English Camp Ireland programmes do not include:

  • Spending money, Saturday trip to village & lunch out, airports.
  • Special dietary requirements (Celiac / Gluten Free, Allergies etc.), incur a cost of 50€ / week.
  • Flights & travel insurance not included.

These “English and Horse Riding” camps are suitable for the more advanced horse riders who are interested in perfecting working on the flat and enhancing their show jumping at competitive levels, ride out on the cross-country courses and explore the forests and beaches on the Atlantic coast whilst receiving full immersion in the English language.
